Dear O-Fans:
We launched our first Osight red dot optic just four months ago, and it's been a tremendous success, gaining popularity among our fans. However, we soon received feedback that some users were experiencing issues with fitting on certain gun models.

Determined to address these concerns, we assembled a dedicated team to investigate. After weeks of in-house testing, we couldn't replicate the problems. Unsatisfied with leaving things there, we decided to take a more hands-on approach.

Our journey began with a flight to Miami, followed by a four-hour drive to Clearwater, Florida, where we met with our customer, Jonathan Poulin. Together, we headed to the range for an extensive testing session. After firing over 1,500 rounds, we finally uncovered the root of the problem: an out-of-spec adapter plate that caused the optic to gradually loosen during extended use.

Our investigation didn't stop there. We flew to Michigan to meet another customer reporting similar issues. Through thorough testing, we discovered that in this case, the problem stemmed from improperly zeroed iron sights on the host platform.

These firsthand experiences have been invaluable in helping us understand and address the challenges some of our customers face. We're committed to using this knowledge to improve our products and ensure the best possible experience for all Osight users.

We sent our Osight to YouTuber Blake DeMario, known as POORTAC556, for testing and evaluation. During his review, Blake highlighted an important issue: our default 4-40 x 0.25-inch screws were too short to properly secure the OSight on his Glock 17 Brownells slide. The screws only engaged with one full thread revolution on the mounting posts, leading to unreliable attachment and performance issues during live-fire testing.

Taking Blake's feedback seriously, we dove deep into researching various pistol platforms. We quickly realized that red dot screw types and lengths vary significantly across brands and models. This insight led us to completely redesign our screw package. We not only lengthened our screws to 10mm and 12mm but also added 6-40 and M3 type screws to improve Osight's compatibility across a wider range of platforms.

We sent these updated screws to POORTAC556 and other customers for testing. Blake retested the OSight on his Glock 17 and reported zero issues. Our quick response and willingness to address the problem were well-received by our customers. In fact, in the comments section of his follow-up video "Did Olight Fix The OSight?", Blake noted, "Olight is working on improvements, which I am happy to see."

This experience reinforced our commitment to listening to our customers and continuously improving our products to meet their needs.

We've discovered that navigating this path is more intricate than anticipated. The market is saturated with a plethora of gun variations, lacking a unified standard. Consequently, we must address challenges methodically, one by one.

In light of this, we've reached a decision. Our plan involves extending the screw length and offering a wider array of screw types to accommodate the diverse range of guns. Additionally, we aim to create tutorial videos to enhance customers' proficiency with Osight. While challenges may persist, we encourage ongoing feedback from everyone as we collaboratively strive for continuous enhancement.

1.If you have purchased OSIGHT and encounter any issues with the screws, you can visit olightstore.com to receive the latest ones free of charge.
2.To assist customers in quickly learning how to set up and use our red dot optic, we have revised the product manual and included four QR codes. These QR codes link to a product introduction video and three videos on zeroing the red dot, improving user experience and ensuring a reliable and correctly set up red dot optic.

Moreover, some of our fans demanded us to develope a taller picatinny mount allowing a lower 1/3 co-witness with AR style iron sights. Therefore, we listened and immediately started our upgrade and development since we have understood the importance of reliability on any firearms related accessories and also realized that a vast amount of our fans in U.S are also AR rifle users.

We optimized the RMA-OSP Osight mount by, first of all, replacing the original T10 cross-bolt with dual T25 cross-bolts as each bolt can easily take up to 30 in/lbs. Furthermore, a recoil-lug between two cross-bolts has been implemented to further prevent any movement under heavy recoil. We also ditched softer 6061-T6 aluminium and utilized the tougher 7075-T6 aluminium alloy for better impacting and corrosion resistence.

In the end, we have tested this new version on a varity of firearms including some large-caliber rifles and semi-auto shotguns. Thousands of rounds have been fired and our new mount has yet been let down. In summary, due to all these fantastic upgrades, our enhanced RMA-OSP is almost indestructable and completely reliable now. This gives our customers more choices and enables our red dot optic to be installed on many more applications.

We also distributed the latest brackets to professionals and fans for real-world testing, and the feedback we received was overwhelmingly positive! As a token of appreciation to our fans, we have decided to provide a complimentary RMA-OSP159 to all customers who bought an Osight during OFANDAY. We appreciate your ongoing support and patience. We are committed to working diligently, focusing on customer needs, and delivering value to our users. Our goal is to develop even more reliable and innovative products for all.
