Bernardelli?
« on: October 17, 2008, 06:21:24 PM »
Anyone have one?  I have my grandfathers mod USA .32acp(purchased at Big 5) and a Mod 80 .22lr that has never jammed!  I'd take a .380acp model if the price is right.  I missed one on .net because I was broke, $160.

I want one of the vest pocket models, maybe even in .22LONG.

Most Americans do not know this brand, it was started in 1721 though, a swan is the emblem.

I saw a PO18 recently reasonably priced, passed as it was w/o mag and I figured replacements would be hard to get.

Don't waste your money. Besides they are not on the California Approved list anyway. ;D

The gun was in CA, and Bernardellis are good guns.  There is a Bernardelli double barreld shotgun on .net right now but it has rust issues.

A friend of mine has a Bernadelli in 40 S&W and 3 magazines. He was going to use it for IPSC but magazines for it are as rare as hen's teeth. It also decided to not cycle any more ammo after he had nothing but good luck for it for a few years. It would fire a round, but then not extract it. All the ammo worked perfectly in a Sig, but would not work in that gun. He's since retired it in lieu of a Glock 35.

Thats too bad as I'm thinking parts for a Bernardelli in .40 (the Po18?) may be hard to come by.
