It will probably be fixed as soon as people wake up...

We're working on it, I received this from GeoVario:
" a runaway process caused a flood of database changes that overloaded the redo logs on your database cluster.
We have greatly increased the redo log space of the DB - and we are restarting all the cluster nodes now. The DB will be back online in a few minutes."
what happened over at .net? Swine flu? Man, that's going to be the SHTF of 2009. Get your supplies ready. Zombies are coming.
Fine - Go back over there then -
It's pretty difficult to migrate a large website without taking it down.... IIRC Geovario is making the move in stages which means rather than have the site down for a week straight it may go down from time to time while they make the move happen.
Oh come on.
You know it should never take more than a couple hours (scheduled overnight) to move a large database from one server on to another.
The outages are just WAYYYYYY too common.
wow. i got a pm about the nra raffle asking what my last name was because they had a list of winners, then i log in a bit later to see if i won, and it's down. wow. gay. That totally sucks
its ok. i got an email to my old work email(the place i was laid off from), and my old boss forwarded the email to me. so i did win. yay. i won number 10. the s&w model 629. i dont have a revolver, so this is a first.
Anyone have a link to the winner list?
Congratulations!
You keep talking about "full members"...whats next, "juicy members"?
I don't know.
I need to do a couple hundred more posts to see if it changes at 500 or maybe 1000...
