Here they are - They are both in excellent condition - All matching numbers - The 44 has CAI import markings on the barrel - The 36 is pre-war - Still learning about them -

Quite interesting and neat if it is authentic, I have never seen something quite like that, most bringback items from there seem to usually be Tokarev pistols, SKS's, and Chinese Type 53 Mosin Nagants.
SAigon has been making me more interested in French stuff lately, I am real pissed I missed that $100 Lebel 1886 recently and I want a MAC 50 also among other things. Getting OT, but the movie The Lover set in Indochina/Vietnam is quite good.

3 of the medals in the case my dad recognized is from the former Rebuplic of Vietnam - He also recogized the signature of the general on the award certificate -

Found these surplus ammo - They are supposed to be horrible - But I wanted them for my collection - They are Syrian -

I had hangfires with it using it in like 2001. I'd like a box for collection purposes of course though as well.

Finally had time to make the screwdriver - The 36 has a 1952 barrel on her - Haven't a chance to look at the 44 yet - Will do that later - Also found some period ammo this past weekend at the show -

It had a butchered stock someone had tried to skeletonize..
Ugh.. 7.5 French...

Paratroop had an aluminum buttstock, the CR39 IIRC. The skelotinized MAS36 may have been a poor attempt at recreating a FRF1 or FRF2 sniper rifle?

No.. Some bubba took a router or a jigsaw and cut a big lightening hole in a standard buttstock! It was bad. It almost looked unsafe to fire. I wondered if the recoil would shatter the little wood that was left and stuff the sharp ends into your shoulder.
I got roped into buying it on a package deal with some other guns.
