Calguns down for me 02/14/24

Since about 1100 hrs attempting to get on Calguns.Net all I get is a blank screen, nada, nothing.  No wait, or pause.  The same regardless of browser.  However a "saved" link in the Foxfire browser takes me to an old previous post and from there I'm in Calguns.

Strange.

Clearing Calgun's cookie/history made no difference.  All other web sites load just fine. 

Oh well, I'll try again later.

there are work-arounds...

if you have email notifications, clcik the link - you will be able to navigate around in that section of the forum...

Otherwise, click on your user name, then stats, then your post... click any link and you can navigate around that section of the forum...

figured it out in like two seconds, noobs.

Yeah, if you have no link, your probably screwed... and if you don't stay logged in, it might not work (I don't log out on my tablet)...

Yeah, I haven't sighed out deliberately in years.  I'm running on a older system so when things go south, I gotta wonder where the issues are.

The issues are server/software incompatibility... same as its been for months... multiple updates of 'its being worked on'.

Fully aware for the past year although I have not had the issues that most have had, like the punctuation, etc.  Other than lag times, time outs, and the like I've not had to many hic-ups once on.  The server/software must like the very elderly Win 7.

All I can add is I am pretty patient when upgrades are happening but this is verging on insanity. i have stopped coming as much just because it is such an issue even getting to the site.

The link i sent should get you on the site. Once there, you need to click on your profile, stats, your posts, then click any one of your posts and you will be able to navigate any threads in the section of the forum.

You will be limited to forum sections that you have posted in.

It's a long way around - but pages load super snappy.

The only thing I'm unsure of is how it works if you previously logged off... and I'm not sure if you can log in from this method - seems you should be able to, but I'm not gonna log off to find out.

There are new posts and threads ... So others are finding ways to make it work too...
