I think the Garand is why I started liking guns... That and my dad's old 1911.

I've owned several hundred guns over the years, including a bunch of different 1911s. But, I've never owned a Garand. Maybe I should do something about that.

Hello everyone -

Quick update - Bought the Garand, serial number in the 4.2 mil range, SA rec. and the rest is mix-master - Rec. has a greenish color to it.

Off to the shower - I'll post some pics afterwards.

I need to get a Garrand also. I can get one from CMP if I want. But they only have the field Grade available. They sell barrels for like $150. I wonder how hard it is to replace one of those barrels.

I know, I am goin back to Glamis indeed. If for some reason I dont go, I'll roll to your pad for sure. After this weekend, I will be off glamis for a week, then back out. I try to hit it twice a month atleast.

Doin much better thank you! Took him for a 30 mile dune ride. Glad to say he was the oNLY 6 mo. old in the dunes, and LOVED it, even tho he fell asleep half way thru. He has 2 little chompers up front, on bottom.

I already have a death contraption. Not as fast as that one, but I don't like trying to brake and turn at the same time with three wheels.
