I was born in Santa Ana and grew up in Orange County. High school Edison in Huntington Beach. College everywhere then Cal State Fullerton. Left in '79 and I've only been back to visit and work. Good luck with that. Court rooms make me sweat and really nervous. I hate it.

The Bankruptcy laws all changed, but you probably know that. You may be able to get something though.

I had a car deal fall through when I was 17. My first car actually. He sold me a car that wouldn't pass smog and he knew it. We went to mediation first. The car was $2300. I paid the guy 1500 as a deposit to get the car smogged, and then the last $800 when I picked up the car. He never smogged it, then tried to split with my money. We took him to court, won, got a judgement... And that's it. Never saw the money again, and I still have the judgement.

My guy tried the same thing. Declared bankruptcy, or at least tried to. The judge threw the bankruptcy out because he had just declared bankruptcy 4 or 5 years prior.

At least I learned something out of it all. Don't trust any muther trucker's out there. Everybody will screw you over if they get half a chance.
