I see people at the range who have rifles that have been handed down for generations. Selling something like that would be bad.
I had a model 36 S&W 3" that was my grandpas, as it was just tossed in a drawer and grandpa never used it, my dad let me trade it to a calgunner I am friends with for a gun my dad wanted anyways. Grandpa was not really a gun person. Also gave his Charter Arms pathfinder 3" .22lr to a good family friend, I later bought another one though.
I also have my maternal grandfathers Bernardelli mod USA .32acp, my dad bought it for him at Big 5 in the 1970's. The importer is Callan of Los Alamitos (whoever they were) which is neat since I live close to there.
