Lame, my first client canceled on me last minute, so now I have a whole two hours to kill!
Think I will go make a red velvet cake.

At least you had notice, make her leave you a big tip next time!  My sister makes red velvet cakes.
I didn't get notice until she was already twenty minutes late.
And then my third client didn't even call, we had to call her.
Oh well. Not b*tching, just a little exasperated. But hey, it gave me more time to go on CG.org!  :D
Red velvet cakes are awesome. Weird to make, what with the cocoa and the vinegar and all. But delish.

My sister says her version does not have vinegar or marscapone.  I am posting from her house.

Ever hear of vinegar pie?  I have never tried it.  She says it sucks.

Man, you know some of the better wines available come with screw caps. Boones farm comes with a screw on cap. Good stuff..
How about Thunderbird and Nighttrain(I have never tried them)?

I drink imported Spanish Sangria, can be found for $5 a bottle or $16 a box(box tastes worse).

I have tried Boones, chicks dig it.
Had a friend drink Cisco at a party once, took pics before, during, and after the swing. Turned it into a neat avatar!
High school chicks dig Boones, it's pretty much KoolAid, but gets you buzzed.

idk....something about a cork in a wine bottle seems nessicery to me.  I have never had a screw on top, but I don't think I would like it.  I have a hard enough time drinking wine before it starts to go bad cause I only drink it at night when I stay up late and remember its in the fridge.  If it could go on its side....forget it!  I'd have prolly 50 bucks worth of wine in my fridge gone bad.....but the screw it tops doesn't apeal to me.  Just like synthetic corks don't really do it for me either....I don't want to know my bottle of wine was subject to corner cutting.

Cisco has a warning on the bottle that it is not a wine cooler!  20% alcohol IIRC

Boones is nice, gotta love a wine at 3 for $5 at times...  My neighbors sister loves it.  She puked out her 2nd story window one time from drinking so much of it.

The white vinegar mixing with the cocoa powder is what gives it it's reddish hue. Most people add a ton of red food colouring to amp it up.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_velvet_cake

The marscapone for the frosting, you blend marscapone and cream cheese and cream and powdered sugar and a couple other things.

Vinegar pie? Never heard of it. Supposed to be a dessert?

yeah, there are like 4-girls here at work that are all over me. But I don't want anything to do with them because I have to work with them. I was told a long time ago, never fish in the company pool. There is one though, if I ever decided to get serious with anyone, I would go out with her.

This is generally a good rule.  Also, don't pursue women working at places you would like to continue to eat at, trust me on this.

we walked buck when he was a few months old at the grand cannyon.....so many people stopped us to pet him that we ignored them towards the end.  If a cute girl came up, I pet the dog while holding Chris's hand to make sure shew KNEW they were mine!

It really is true!

For $525 it is a damn good price. You are never going to see one in that price range ever again. Have you seen them at gun shows? They go for 3X that price. This one is in the 5.8 mil range which means more than likely it has seen some action in the Korean War. It's a semi-auto C&R that shoot's .30-06 which is cheaper than 7.62 right now. For $525 I'm sure it is just a plinker rifle and not match grade. Then again how much to do actually go out shooting? Next time you are down in Colton you can shoot my Garand. Maybe I am just a more impulse buyer than you are. You probably can talk him down another $25 and get it for $500 even. The guy is in Fremont so it's not a far drive from where you live.

I should buy another Garand, my Century one SUCKED.  The "ping" of the ejected en bloc clip is neato.  My grandpa was in Korean war.

yea.....no fishing off the company dock!  Bad idea!!  I had a guy who ended up not calling me after a great date and hooking up with another girl at our work.....really awkward around the 2 of them after that.

Yes, had rhubarb, kinda hard to find. Mincemeat squicks me out a little. Looooove custard!!! Jealous, wish I was eating some right now! I love pouring hot fresh custard on my apple pie a la mode.

I wish we had a computer at my work. I miss out on all the daytime fun in TAN!

It can get addicting, I did not get on today and I know am reading the last 15 pages!  I hate when I miss two days or more which is rare.

Heard of the cheese thing, never tried it on pie. Have had cold sliced apples and cheese though, mmm! I was watching Pushing Daisies tonight, and they made a pear pie with gruyere on top. Sounded delish, may have to try making one of those.
