this is funny

I went to my 1/2 aunts house today so I could bring my grandma some mail.  She wants to vote by mail, for Obama ::)

And there was an Obama sign on the front door ::)

A member I know wanted to fill an Obama sign with bullet holes that was in his sisters yard and then put it back!  I don't think he did though.

The crust was excellent, my sis sure can cook!  Ever hear of the cheese on apple pie thing?  Apple pie still reminds me of the American Pie movie, lol.

Heard of the cheese thing, never tried it on pie. Have had cold sliced apples and cheese though, mmm! I was watching Pushing Daisies tonight, and they made a pear pie with gruyere on top. Sounded delish, may have to try making one of those.

Pear pie, yum!  There is pear cider as well, I buy it at BevMo,5% alcohol.

Rhubarb leaves are poisonous!  And it must be cooked properly too I think or the stalk is also.  Rhubarb pie is usually served kind of messy, it does not hold well, and is combined with strawberries alot because of the rhubarb tartness.

this is funny

I do not know what I would do, but it would have to be a damn good reason to get me to shoot someone. This is the reason I have a baseball bat by my door. Not a loaded shotgun.

The way I look at it, if you are going to point a gun at someone, you had better not be bluffing.

VERY true.  If you can bring yourself to do it, it is better not to use it or bring it out sometimes.  I think if it comes between your family and harm though Jacques, you will make the correct choice.

Many internet commandos and wannabe gangstas talk tough though but will not back up their actions.  I have seen this many times.  I am not referring to you or most calgunners though.

Talking and actually shooting are two completely different subject. I would imagine most guys are not prepare to kill another but talk a good game.

[/quote]

I have known or known of people that would not hesitate though which can be scary.  When you HAVE to shoot, do so.  If you can avoid it DO SO!   I have been in situations 2x where lethal force was probably justified but avoidable and both times i did not pull the trigger and it ended not being necessary for me to do so which worked out better.

Of course all the tought guys and even a cop or two told me I could have fired in one case but still it worked out better not to.  I did not feel bad morally, mostly the legal and money aspects of it scared me some if it would have become necessary.

If they had been threatening or hurting my dog, I might've fired a warning shot.
But a sign? Come on.

If they had been intentionally hurting my dog I would fired

At them or a warning shot?  That would be a hard call and warning shots are rarely a good idea.  People get real attached to their dogs but killing another human being over one can possibly get messy in court depnding on the circumstances.

[We have one of those big dog beds from Costco for our dog. We had people over this weekend and they brought their dogs. Both their dogs pissed on Elmos bed. They also pissed on the TV set.

They stayed outside after that.

I can't get the pitbull a bed, he chews them up.  As for a TAN shooting/camp meet, Ojai is far but maybe if I can carpool and Randall does not set traps I will go.  Especially if there is pie and cake :)

Like me for instance - Plan this trip, thur-mon - Well, forgot about court on monday -

Bean seems to make it to just about everything - Even with the work/school/GF factor.
yeah i was gonna say they lable me a flake because i have  life?? lol

I have a life(sort of) and I rarely flake, lol.  I have been to 3=4 calguns events in one weekend before.

Apparently, the way to a CG heart is through the (collective) CG stomach!  ;D
Ojai isn't that far away (depending on how fast you drive!), and it's nice up there. I'd be down for a camping trip/shooting meet.

Well I am off to look/buy a Garand - Wish me luck as I know nothing about them, other than what I've read -

Good luck!  Every american needs a Garand.  When we muster up our militias, thats what we are supposed to bring.

I like them but not as much as other stuff, I want an M1a more.  Most of my dream rifles are foreign, usually Swiss and Israeli.  Every American needs a Colt 1911A1 :)

I have never been there, nor Santa Barbara or even Santa Monica really!  I need to travel more in that area.  I think I like food just slightly less than guns :)

yes sometime next year ima pick up a garand and carbine

If you stop being a flake and such and introduce me to your sis(jk!) I will let you shoot my handgun and long gun chambered in .30 carbine.

I watched part of Splash today.  Daryl Hannah in that era is hott for a blonde.  She rivals Kim Basinger.

M1A=fun. Except for the collarbone bruising when prone. Worth it though. Would love a Colt 1911, have to do with my Kimbers for now.

What animal?

Well I'm going again tomorrow so I have to go get ready.

Duck & Geese

Now I am off. Just got done invoicing. Be back tomorrow to let you know how I do.

Got my 1st hunting license today, when to the DFG office in Los Alamitos.  Some dude was there that had to drive from Santa Barbara to get there!

They had a Mako shark jaw.  And a sign out front that says to leave your bear heads outside!  DFG wants bear heads from any bears harvested.
Place had plexiglass on teller windows for some reasons, must be some pissed off hunters and fishermen...

I had a Gharadelli chocolate PPK my parents got me in Frisco when I was like 10!

Some kid in the news got suspended one time because he bit his chicken finger into the shape of a gun and was going "pow pow" while holding it!

I still hold a banana like a gun when I pick one up,lol.

And Gunaria hasn't been rolling like he usually does, posting the pics.

I miss most of his pics :'(  And Chief appears to be out of the posting game.

I think the Garand is why I started liking guns...  That and my dad's old 1911.
I've owned several hundred guns over the years, including a bunch of different 1911s.  But, I've never owned a Garand.  Maybe I should do something about that.
In owning/own over 2-300 guns in my life, I have only had 1 Garand.

damn, I'm hungry again....

I just had some frozen Ramonas burritos. BOMB (Im stupid) burritos for being frozen...! Off the hizzie!

Among the best of the frozen type.  FYI they can be purchased fresh at the Gardena factory, most of the food there though is Randall/Titos style Mexican food ;D

All cheese burrito FTW!!!  And the chile relleno burrito.

And mess with one bean, you get the whole burrito...

Stop going to those ghetto Santa Ana gas stations :D  There is a pawnshop with guns in that area though.  I have seen a non Hispanic there maybe one time.

I already have a death contraption.  Not as fast as that one, but I don't like trying to brake and turn at the same time with three wheels.

When I am old and can't ride a motorcycle anymore, I will get a trike or a sidecar.  The lady that had the son that inspired the movie Mask died in a trike accident in 2006 in Glendora.  I always wondered what real life motorcycle club she was affiliated with.
