Question for you all, I know I should have asked this last night, but I got too tired, Shelly mentioned Duracoating her gun black and red. What exactly is duracoating? Is it like powder coating? Im kinda curious and can you do it to anything else?

its a type of spray on coating. Drawn over at Airbrush Armory and .net can answer your questions

Not powder coating - I think you can do it yourself at home too, don't quote me though - Someone will be along and give it to you straight -

I just ordered the kit from Brownells. It comes with a can of compressed air and a cheap airbrush. I have a compressor I'm going to use instead of the canned air. I'll let you know how it works out. I've got flat black to practice on a few AK's

This was about a week ago. I just stained all the trim tonight. Came out kind of dark... Its birch plywood, poplar base, and redwood trim.

Depends on the cost of the kit... It has to hold 4 rifles and some blankets. I still need to make a top. I want to inlay a Nautical star using different types of wood. I found the stain I'm going to use for the rest of the box, should match the rest of my furniture, and its called gunstock btw...

I did a lot of it at the GF's dad's house. Thats what he drinks. He was in the air wing in the Marine Corps. I never drink with him, I always have to drive afterwards.
