I just got off the phone with a friend in Florida.  His house was broken into and his Beretta stolen and it was used in an 'armed assault' or some sort (police won't give him details over the phone)

They told him he'd get it back in about 2 months.  That seems pretty quick to me; I thought the cops just kept 'evidence' of that sort as long as they can.

Aww that sucks!! But at least he will get it back.

Negative - Now I have to scrounge up some.

It's an SA rec. - SA barrel forgot the dating on it - HRA bolt? SA trigger assem. - That's all I can remember -

Man it's warm here in Colton -

Gunaria - I'd picked up the Garand - serial in the 4.3 mil - I opted for that one instead of the 5.2 mil.

I'd posted pics earlier -

Alright. Did the seller give you any clips to go with it?

No chit. I left there this morning before it started to get really hot.
:) Thank you Sir, may I have another ;)

He keeps bitching that now he's disarmed and he's worried about violence after the election.  He's trying to decide what to go buy so he's not unarmed.  What sucks is that he's out of work and doesn't want to spend the money right now.  He's considering a HiPoint 9mm for less than $200.

I've owned  several of them.  They're nothing special but they are cheap and they work.  At least he'll be armed and feel safer.

That is true. I personally could not 100% feel confident with one.

I agree with that too.  If it was all I had, I'd use it.  But I've never used one for anything serious.  I guess as a truck/trunk gun it would be okay.  Here in Nevada, I guess you could leave one loaded in your car if you don't CCW and not care much if it was stolen.  The carbines are much cooler than the pistols too.

Yes, and if you're buying I'll be happy to share!  I first gave it to my kids when they were only about 6 and 4--they both loved it.  I bought it at the Marsuri festival in Phoenix for them.

It's yummy, pieces of meat and veggies and tofu, skewered into little shishkabobs, bbqed over charcoal.

YUMMY and TOFU don't belong in the same sentence, EVER.
The only way to make tofu pallatable is to cook it with meat which pretty much kills it for vegetarians.
I didn't really enjoy taking showers with other men though I have done it

You have not had good cooked tofu then - They can do some amazing thing with it - But you're right that they don't have any taste - They'll take on the taste and flavor of what you cook with it - I enjoy tofu -
