Maybe it's just me but I will not pay more than $200 for a .22 rifle.

I had a friend that felt like you too but I have seen people sink $1000 in to a 10/22 or a Anchutz . Now that I think about it, I don't think I have ever spent more than $200 on a .22lr rifle either.
