Oh - Everybody needs a Sig - I have 2/226 and love them to death - Pricey guns though - There's always a few in the porn section -

Damn!! Just missed one for sale, it was up for less than an hour it looks like. I'll just have to keep my eyes peeled :)

I don't know what the hype is with those XDs - They just don't do anything for me - More of a tradicionalist kind of guy here -
I was just telling Bean that he should look into getting a 9mm instead of .45 - ammo is 50% less.
I am glad you had a good time out there -

Yeah my 1911 just eats up that .45, so I wanted a 9mm semi-auto for cheaper shooting.
I had only shot one or two 9mm when I first started shooting a few years ago. The one I shot (Beretta? I don't remember) just felt like such a sharp recoil, I liked the .45 better.
Now that I've tried a couple different 9mms I think it was just that gun that felt so sharp.

Is your 1911 an all steel pistol - That would make a significant different in felt recoil over plastic and alum. frame pistol -

Yeah, all steel, Kimber Custom II. I wish I remembered what it was that I had shot that I didn't like. Too long ago.

The Beretta is an open slide set-up - lightweight, more felt recoil though.

Rent more guns to see what you like -

Keep your eyes in the porn section - Sigs are always around.

That sounds like it probably was a Beretta then.
I do like renting guns and being able to try before I buy.
I've also looked at (but not tried) a Baby Eagle. Haven't researched it much yet, any opinions anyone?

All steel gun - I've shot one before, not bad of a gun - It's an accurate gun.

Very nice gun but on the heavy side. Good for target shooting.

Payday was today for a lot of people.

I had to do service at a bank branch this morning.  A Navy Federal Credit Union.  There was a line a half block long before they opened.

I got to see their vault.  I wasn't impressed, most gun shop safes are bigger.

It's very typical - Some vaults are nothing but concrete slab wall and a steel door -

Hey has anyone painted their sights? What did you use? What colour? I'm thinking about painting my 1911s sights, because it's so hard to aim when pointing at a black target...
