Stories, not too much to tell.

That CG I went hunting with EXTURNERSEMP, he's an older Greek gentleman. Older than me but not senior citz. old. He's a good guy, just like many other CG's that I have met. I showed him more of the area near the Salton Sea. I kind of know it a little better since I am a land owner out there.

He wanted to go test out some handloads he made for his snubbie 454 Casull. So I took him  & his other buddy to a spot out in BLM land that already had some targets set up.

He made some hot loads that wanted to rip your wrist right off. They were so hot we could only shot 3 at a time verse all 6.

More to come later if you guys/gals would like to hear.
:) Thank you Sir, may I have another ;)

that handgun sounds like a beast,

Just mapquest salton sea, and looks to be out by palm desert seomwhere, so its just a salt lake ? is it flat around it? seems weird and unusual

Tell us more Bean -

Looks very interesting

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Salton_Sea

Its one of the lowest point here, its like death valley really flat and a lake in the middle of nowhere, theres sinking stuff and houses i think, or more like out houses. Its out by Imperial valley , riverside county looks kinda creepy if you ask me, but then again i think many things are creepy , I can see where you can go duck or "bird" hunting there

Where abouts out there you take him? We hunt out there a whole bunch and havent ever run into anyone else in that area. Id like to stay out of overlapping areas if theres other coyote hunters out there. You say you own property out there, where abouts?

Cav trooper, nice coyote pics, where do you go shoot around the OC area ? If you shot cayotes do you have to take them ? I hear that alot of them just eat them to decompose and so other animals could eat them ?

I own a plot of land in the Salton City and also own 13 acres right outside of Niland. I took them out near Calipateria, near the canal.  I mainly go bird hunting out there. But I do see foxes, coyotes and even a bobcat from time to time. Others have said they see deer and sheep.

right on. we hit the canals out by niland quite a bit, that and south of salton city around westmorland and such. lots of coyotes out there, theres good deer north of niland out off hot mineral springs or whatever that road is.

Nothing yet on either of them. But I do like the fact that I can hunt & shoot on the 13 acre parcel and the plot in the Salton City has power & water to it and it is centrally located near the high school there.

Here's some other sites to check out if you want to see who some of my niehbors are out in the desert.

http://vagabonders-supreme.net/SlabCity.htm

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slab_City

As for the plans, I plan to build a house out on the Salton City plot one day.

I whould like to put a little hunting lodge and a shooting range on the larger plot.
