When I was kid, I had my learner's permit, and was driving home from dinner.  Of course, my dad had been drinking.  We were cruising along and bicyclist was riding on the shoulder.  As we passed him, my dad freaked out being all drunk, thought we were gonna hit him and grabbed the wheel and made us swerve...

Did you know that if your dad abused alcohol, you are 600 times more likely than the average person to abuse alcohol.  If both your father and grandfather abused alcohol, then you are 900 times more likely to abuse alcohol.

Funny, the alcohol abusers in my familt were/are my grandma/1/2 aunt and me!  usually you associate that with a dad or uncle.

My 1/2 aunt was in OA/AA/and NA!

If you are of Italian or Spanish descent, you are suppose to be less likely to become an alcoholic.  It seems the longer your culture/ehnic background has been exposed to alcohol, the less lilely you are to become alcoholic.

My 1/2 aunt has some Native American blood and Irish too, uh oh!

I found my 1986 vintage CZ75, yay! And I can't believe no calgunners I knew were at Angeles.

I almost stopped going there, one of the counter help biatches, when I asked it there was a Veterans day discount for veterans, snapped at me..."NO!"

I swore I'd never buy anthing there but range time again to myself but the rangemasters were pretty cool with me as usual so I will go back to that range.

I didn't even bother printing out the $2 off coupon to be cool,I understand the range needing to make $ and people trying to lowball you in business gets old but the additude I received was uncalled for.

Happy Veterans Day...

Funny thing too, I got snarled at around 11am, the 11 hour of the 11 day of the 11  month, the time the armistice ending WW1 was, IIRC.

My dad abused alcohol, seriously. My brother and I do not drink at all. My 5-sisters drink like fish. My parents used to feed us wine when we were 10yrs old on Thanksgiving and Christmas. I just figured I had been drinking for 35 years and it was time for a break. Got kinda tired of it, and other reasons, probably a list of about 10-reasons.

I have been drinking since I was 5, I remember my grandma giving me Coors Light!  And champagne too.

I have had some problem drinking at times and I can drink A LOT but I control it pretty well usually and can forgo alcohol.  On Mon at Taco Surf with Marcelo I only had one beer than a soda.  I am very anti DUI.  Even more so when I am on the motorcycle.

Not at all!  No one can break that I think!  349 posts in a 24hr period, those days on .net are long gone and forgotten...

Yeah my drinking has went down but for occasional...relapses.  I drank 1/2 a bottle of Grey Goose and some rum and beer a couple of weeks back, not realy hungover next day either.

I will probably go have an early lunch, then come back home a crash out. Kids are at school, and baby is at suegras so I can sleep. You should cruise by my job tonight. I'll be set up on Bev Blvd. Bring your camara. You could see the worlds largest boom pump in action.

So, TaN meet at Iron Sights this weekend??

Sunday at 1pm.

They are a gun shop actively selling guns so they are required by law to do private party transfers when two parties walk in the door.
They are NOT required to do out-of-town transfers that get shipped to them though.
