Yeah, sandrails and such. And expired diet sodas in the ancient soda machine.

Years ago in Oregon, a bar / gunstore; bar on one side, showcase with guns & ammo on the other.

I have bought and also transfered a few at pawn shops. I used to use a pawn shop in Roseville to get all my cool Makarovs, etc... I bought a POS Walther P22 at a Bait and Tackle shop once
I remember browsing AR-15's etc... back in the good ole days at BIG R Ranch and Home, but never bought anything. Bought a few at BIG 5 too.

Several, I'm old enough to have known the world pre GCA 68. And pre 1991 DROS crap.
I used to buy rifles at Woolworth's five n dime. Pistols from Montgomery Wards and Sears. There is still a Western Auto Store on Atlantic Ave, in Bell, that is also a gunshop.

J&K Mustang in Sacramento. They restore classic Mustangs, sell new and used mustang parts and sell guns. They even have their own J&K Mustang AR15 lowers.

From an FFL who sold it from the back of his van, at night, in an alley, in the deserted part of town, and he gave me a cash discount, too.

Western Auto in Bell, Sears also, many many years ago. Still like going to Western Auto in Bell, it's a fire trap.

Dave's - used to be in Main St in Corona it was Guns and Auto Parts
Best (Products) - used to be on Hole Ave. in Riverside...I walked in with birthday/dishwashing money and walked out with a Marlin 336 - I had just turned 18.
Coast to Coast Hardware in Woodcrest - used to be on Van Buren....
Those were just "normal".
We used to get Ammo at JJJ Liquor (corner of Van Buren and Inadiana Ave) in a pinch!
