Where are you originally from?

Thinking about all that kind of makes me homesick. :-[

Nope, no work.  Everybody in the house is still asleep, so I'm trying to be quiet.  My buddy is getting married at 1500hrs, so I've got to get ready for that.

I want to help the GF bend her flat for her AK with the new jig.  So whenever she gets up, we'll head over to my dad's house.  My press is over there.  And, got to make sure the house is clean, a realtor is coming by to show the place while we are at the wedding.

What about you?  Are you already at work?

those are cool.  I used to race a Cavalier and then my Camaro in SCCA autocross Solo.  I wasn't very good...

You race the Bimmer at all?

Yeah - already working, kind of slow so far - We had a group of 35 guys this morning - Car club from the area, Pleasanton pushed rods, known as P-Town pushed rods - Twice a month they meet at my place.

Beautiful day for a wedding - Have fun.

Good luck on the house showing - sales have been climbing here in our area.

Have fun with the GF build - I am serious about building one for me, what's a respectable price for a kit nowadays?

A Romy G numbers matching parts kit is about $250.

We just lowered the price again on the house.  Sales are picking up down here, too.  And, the house prices don't seem to be going any lower.  The bottom end is really stuck right at 190k-220k.  You might get one down below 160k, but they aren't really habitable at that price.

Did the car guys order alot?  One of my buddies/customers has gotten into a lot of catering type stuff.  His kids are in highschool which helps, but he caters a lot of their sporting events and dances.  He owns a place called Sunrise Cafe.  They are open from 5AM to 3PM, so he has a lot of time to do those things in the afternoon/evening.  He used to own 5 of those big catering trucks.  Thats how I met him, I used to do all the trucks and the lot and the comissary where he parked.

I thought the SCCA solo stuff was dirt cheap.  As long as the car doesn't break...  But I never had any issues, you can take it easy and not beat on it.  I don't remember paying anything to do that stuff.  Same with the drag racing (legal stuff anyways)  Though, its a lot harder on your car.  That was like $15 a day to do that.  But they have since closed down the tracks near here.

They are all older guys - Youngest is probably 50. They don't eat too much.

I need to start really push catering - Just so damm tired from everything and get tunnel visions at times.

I am going to find and pick up a kit or two then -

The Sunrise guy even does cruise night once a month.  Anybody that comes in an older car gets a free milkshake or something like that.  Its get a lot of people in there buying $9 burgers with their free milkshake, and I've gone just to see the cars.  It gets him in the paper once a year or so, gets some attention to his business.  He's in a stip mall, next to a dry cleaners and Kragens, he probably doesn't get much walk in business.

All right Luong, I've got to do something, cut my hair and clean the house, get the GF out of bed...

I'll catch up with you later.  If you find some place with sub $200 kits let me know.  Most of the good deals are in the classifieds on calguns and AKfiles.
