Not at all -

Here's my take - Most out there do not trust the police - Rampant corruption everywhere - It's not a job folks look up to - Public servants are look down on.

I was working in San Jose in the 80s - was approached by SJPD and try to recruit me to be community liason - At this time, there was not a single Vietnamese in the dept. - The community had little trust in the PD. I had turned them down because I had to be in uniform for at least  a year before I would begin my assignment - It's the uniform people don't trust.

yes i hold down the fort with my hotizer!

i just though about this, hopefully it dosent come out racist or anything...but i have NEVER seen an indian/hindu Police officer or military man or woman

Well that is very true, i was thinking maybe not enough of them here to cause a big impact , like im sure there are some but maybe we just dont see them lol, but that is crazy you could have been a Police officer

I didn't want to be a beat cop - I wanted to help the Viet community and get them to trust the law - There are now numerous Viet officers in their dept. - Still do not have a Viet officer liason -

Well, somebody conned them huh? I think that the non trust issue runs deep, even with people that have lived here all their life, no matter what race.
