Milsurp bolt actins with steel buttplates in  7.62x54r and .30-06 are rough on the shoulder.  I like pain though ;)
My 50 is a 28 lb rifle with a huge (Im stupid) brake, Hard push and tons of blast.
The 700 in 7 mag maybe weighs 8 lbs and has no brake.. Recoil is very sharp.
