I didn't even see a deer in the field last year until the last day of deer season. My dad is set on hunting deer the same way we hunt for pheasant. Walk around, make a bunch of noise, and maybe one will jump up in front of us.

I prefer the sit and wait method... But, when I have to get up at 2AM just to go hunting, I don't have any problem laying down on 40 degree wet dirt and promptly falling right to sleep.

No, my dad is retired... You hunt Camp Pendelton?? I know there are dove and quail and ducks and coyote to hunt there...

MSN has the increase in gun sales on their front page also. Seems a big panic has spread. At least something in the economy is working out.
