OK - Steak was yummy - I gorged thouth -

Work was OK today - There was a car show at the fairgrounds so we got some overflow bus.

I hurriedly left to go to the gun show - Didn't get there till 3:30 - Walk pretty fast thru everything - Ammo pricing was still pretty good - Picked up 200 rounds of .38 super JHP - Sat at my friend's booth for the rest of the show - Then at 4:55 decided to head over to this booth because something caught my eye - He has a Steyr SSG just like mine, he wants 2K for it, very good price with a Swarovski scope - Then there she was just hanging out underneath one of those glass case - A Colt 70 series Goverment in 9MM - Man I've been wanting one of these for a long time now - But crap it's 5:00 and the show is done, no one wanted to do a transfer for me - Damm it, I have to go back tomorrow -

So you made a deal and it will be waiting for you tomorrow?  In that case, "Congratulations." I'm like my 1911s and would like to pick one up in 9mm as well.  I haven't seen a nice one at a fair price in quite some time.

Jacques - Your daughter is in complete denial of her issues - Only thing left for you to do is put her on a program, provide a place for rent - No more handouts - I know it's hard but you have to draw the line - She needs to get herself a job and get her rear back in the saddle.

No - Which booth? Am going back tomorrow for something I can't live without -

Hey saigon did you notice the box of magazines for the rifle you bought from technique at the show today?

not sure on the booth number but I'm 95% sure they were for that rifle ( he probably had 20 of them)
10 bucks each and he was in the left back end if your standing in the entrance

Thanks Vegas - You know our sit. here in CA - To find that is somewhat rare - 900 is a very good price for her - No box, just the gun and one mag. - Gun is in excellent condition - The guy have around 12 different Colts - I have not check to see what they are going for on free states -

I want to continue shooting 1911 platform but the price of .45 ammo -

I almost picked up a Springfield last year - Glad I didn't.

Like Sor said over at .net -

Vendors were selling Stag lowers for 265-275 -

.308 lower for 500 -

I talked to some vendors with C&R - They were willing o bargain with you -

Ammo prices were pretty much inline like before - No gouging.

CWS have Saiga12s unconverted for 1K - But then they are always high -

Dunno yet.  I'll have to see how the duracoat sticks to it.  I might mix up some fiberglass resin and paint it on, then sand that down.  I have some hi-build automotive primer that I could spray on first and sand down.

But the wood is smoother than a babies butt.  I polished it all the way down with 400 grit paper.

How much were they?

There's a Saiga 410 in the FS right now - 400 bucks, pretty neat.

Aim surplus has this posted on there main page

Quote
As you know, we at AIM and others in the firearms industry are experiencing an extraordinarily high demand for the products we sell.
This extreme demand compares only to the spike experienced in 1993-1994 when the Brady Bill became law.

Although we will do all we can to insure the fulfillment of your order(s) in its entirety, we are experiencing product shortages that may result in backorders or delays of specific product from your order.

We ask for your patience as we work diligently to process orders, answer phone calls and respond to the thousands of emails requesting information about orders placed and product status.

Although some have responded to this spike by raising their prices immediately after the election. You have our promise that we will make every effort to maintain our advertised prices until our suppliers increase our costs.

In an effort to better control our remaining inventory, we are allowing only selected products to be purchased via our website this weekend.

Thank you again for your business and your patient understanding.

Jacques - Your daughter is in complete denial of her issues - Only thing left for you to do is put her on a program, provide a place for rent - No more handouts - I know it's hard but you have to draw the line - She needs to get herself a job and get her rear back in the saddle.

Yeah, I put it to her. I told her she has until Monday night to decide if she is coming back here or not. And that is it. A chance to reset.

She does have a job. It is a good job at a machine shop down in LA. They build a lot of stuff for Disneyland. She does not work many hours (3-4/day) because of school and having to take the bus there. She called her boss from the car after I picked her up, and he was OK with her having been gone and stuff (that is a forgiving boss).

It is going to be up to daughter #1 if she is going to be allowed to stay there. She needs to show, big time, she is moving in a forward direction, or that is it.
