Good morning. Going to be a busy day. Make up for all the stuff that didn't get done when I was gone Friday. Have a happy Monday.

I wonder how many people outside the Govt or banks actually get veterens day off?

Morning all.  I'm off work today and tomorrow, but I've got to sit around the house waiting for UPS to deliver a couple of cases of ammo.

I hate sitting around when I've got time off.  Hopefully you'll help entertain me. ;D

Nice that you've got a Garand to look forward to.  Once you get it and can take it apart please post details... Then shoot it and give us a range report.  Do you have ammo for it?

Not work - Just feeling unmotivated - I am getting ready to head out though - Perhaps it's because I worked late yesterday - Got home at 8 instead of the usual 6 on Sundays -

What are the things you're looking for? Put it up perhaps someone will have something -

Actually it's "thirty ought six"

The cartridge was originally adopted in 1903 and was listed as the 30-03 (I forget the other milspeak that went with it)
The new cartridge was modified in 1906 and redesignated 30-06 for that year.
The 'ought' means 'zero' -- today we'd probably call it "thirty oh six"
English is an ever-changing language.

Edited to make some sort of sense.

LOL , i think the last time i took family portrait type pictures was when i was 5 years old. In the past 3-4 months ive cut my hard short, kinda like a buzz cut maybe size 3 or 4 all around, i like it this way better, no need to comb my hair or anything

I always heard it call 30 - oh 6

I was smart enough to buy some of the Greek ammo from Century right before they decided to stop shipping to us regulars here in Cali.

I didn't win that 10/22 auction. I was out hunting and not near a computer. It ended up selling for $167. :(
:) Thank you Sir, may I have another ;)
