Guy is smoking good stuff trying to sell HK P7s for 2k - 175 for mags he said - Just picked up one yesterday for 45 - Available all day long for 55 -

Some people are just out to rob others the legal way.

I see...speculative prices on .net a lot, some are quite insane but occasionaly someone bites.

It is out of control. But no better way to put 200,000 more AW's on the street then to speculate a ban.

So not showing up for work and under performing gives them the right to collect - No wonder we are in the crap hole we are -

Well, at least it's not Xmas yet and they can get unemployement.

I don't think most people know how unemployment actually works.
It's not just free money from the govt.
The business pays into a fund.
Employees have to petetion to pull money from that fund.
Employers/Employees get a hearing where an official decides if the employee gets unemployment or not.

Randall is correct, but isn't some money also pulled from an employees wages for EDD as well?  It's not like it's welfare though some think so, I have gotten in a couple of times.

I didn't win that 10/22 auction. I was out hunting and not near a computer. It ended up selling for $167. :(

I bought the one that someone posted for $150 shipped.

I hate how gun prices seem to increase more than the general inflation, I remember NIB 10/22's at Turners in 2001 or 2002 for $150.

Dehydrate them - You'll have them thru out the year - There's just so much apples I can eat - I do that with banana too - You have to try it - Awesome trail food -

And I dry the apples too - They are yummy.

Reminds me - I have to get a new dehydrator, last one conked out -

ETA - I am off to the next - Hold down the fort Bean -

What do you mean dry the apples ?

Dried fruit and beef jerky can be very good.  Bring some next time you are down here for Lil bean to try.

Very  nice c&r's and flowers saigon, and i love gala apples

Lil Bean knows all about road apples, he has a horse.  I remember horse meat for sale in Italy.

I've eaten horse in Mexico.  It seem Americans generally don't think eating horse is funny or ok.

I had a situation where we went in front of an arbitrator - The employee did not deserved unemployment - Brought her kids to the hearing, went without make up - The damm arbitrator ended siding with the ex-employee - Really burns me.

I'd maybe try it, I hear fries made with horse fat are good.  Americans don't even go for lamb much it seems let alone horse or dog.  I don't even eat variety meats, sweetbreads, yuk.

I know what you mean.  I have 2 10/22s that I bought back in the '70s.  I think I paid around $75 dollars for the sporter with the checkering.  The carbine was less, but I don't remember the exact cost.  I'd like to build a 'tacticool' 10/22 with a folding stock and use 30 round mags.  I know it's kind've worthless, but it would be a cheap little project.

$75 would have been a lot more than, about 3x more almost maybe?  But for the sporter not bad, I want the International with the Mannlicher stock.  I want a folding stock version too, good to stick in a backpack for a motorcycle range trip.

Yes - The 44 is a short run, they didn't make too many then moved onto the 49/56 - That's next on my list - A friend of mine have an old, old bolt action - Can't remember the exact model - But it's a black powder -

I've posted more pics in the C&R section here - Check them out -

Saigon , the MAS that is ontop of the smaller MAS is it semi auto ?

French?  Must be very old as even the Lebel that was from 1886 was a smokeless powder design, the 1st.

I've never heard that about the fries and horse fat.  As for most 'off-menu' items, I'll try pretty much anything once.  I remember a big party at a ranch in Oregon with Rocky Mountain Oysters.  A guy was there eating them--really liking them---until someone told him what they were.  He went outside, stuck his finger down his throat, and made himself vomit.  The host ordered him off the ranch immediately.

I don't believe there's a limit - So start building -

Just looked and there is no ATF rule that says how many you can build, there might be where you live, maybe even CA ?

I just finished balancing the checkbook...  Ouch.  I dropped $1280 dollars on gun stuff this month already.  So far still left to go...

Better than dropping that in a strip club or in Adelitas I'd say :D

Evening everyone.  I just read through the thread:
Saigon-I like the old French rifles; is ammunition readily available?  And, I had no idea you were into horticulture--good looking plants.

The GlockTalk link.  I can't believe a Volunteer carbine can bring over $600 dollars.  Twenty or so years ago they were only about $100, but they would eat anything.  I used to shoot up handloads that would choke my 1911s in mine.  Another one I probably should have kept.

I'm surprised at that too, the one Volunteer I messed with was pretty sucky, but it was used and a bit abused.

8mm Lebel ammo is hard to come by, I stupidly passed such a rifle recently for $100 though.

I don't think we want to know...

They remind me of Burt and Ernie for some reason, or Lenny and Squiggy from that old Laverne and Shirley show.

I've seen those Wilkinson carbines at gunshows and, I think, one dealer.  Never fired one and know very little about it except they were never common.  I think at one time or another it was known as the 'Linda.'

I have a pistol that was made by Wilkinson for another company.,a sort of .22lr clone of a Browning Baby in .22lr or a real small AMT backup sort of in design actually, the Auto 9.

Wilkinson pistols like this are called the Sherry in .22lr IIRC and the Diane in .25acp.  He was named Raymond, he should have made the Ray gun!  I knew a dude that met him.

We had a bananna tree when I was growing up in Ontario.
I don't ever remember it bearing fruit though.

Right now Pearl Harbor is no AMC HD. This is the newer version with all the famous actors.

Kate Beckensale is HOTT in that movie.  Randall thinks Ben Affleck and Josh Hartnett are dreamboats :D

My favorite customers are the ones that will stand in your shop and tell you they can buy something X number of dollars cheaper somewhere else.
I tell them to go do that then...
