Or, any other BLM land up north??

How far up north do you wanna go ? willo springs ?

Dunno, was hoping to find someplace within an hour of here,

Good morning everybody--anything I'd like to know about going on?

Sportsmans' Warehouse opened their new store about a mile or so from me, so I went in for the 'grand opening' this morning.  No handguns--the BS with the gov isn't squared away yet so they can issue blue cards.  Oscar Goodman was on hand and he said he'd make sure that was fixed Monday.  They claim a lot of stock still hasn't come in.  Ammo prices weren't any better than or even as good as WalMart or J&G (I'll swing by there next week).  But, I asked about AR magazines and there were a few Bushmaster 30rd nobody had put out for sale.  I bought 3 at   $21.95 each.  I've never bought Bushmaster mags before, anybody have any experience with them?  Oh yeah, they gave me a decal, a pen, and a mug.  :D

Jacques - You're stressed man - And don't start drinking - Is the Glock what you had expected?

Vegas - Never used Bushy mags before - Can't imagine they would be bad - Probably made by someone else for them -

I have read a bit on .net about mags. There are only a few mfg's of mags, everyone sells them under different names.

I'll add congratulations on the new guns and agree that drinking won't make things better if you're stressed.

You're both probably right about the mags too.  Since Bushmaster has their name put on them, I'll assume they are probably good magazines.  I didn't need any more magazines, so I think I'll put these on the shelf unopened--for a 'rainy' day.

The Glock is what I expected. It is plastic. But it is nice. We are going to go shoot it tomorrow.

It was a Glock for Jacques with Lock.

Try to say that 10times real fast.

Guys - What happened to the 5-8 dollars a mag - I mean, I can see the modern stuff like Pmags or some of the other "new"style - But to charge 20-30 for an aluminum mag made on the same tooling that's been around since the 70's to make these mags is just ridiculous -

Great question.  The last 'cheap' mags I got were some used Colt and Adventureline 30 rd at a gun show last year--$8 each.  New ones were about $13 and up at the show then.

I'll bet there's some people in  the magazine business at its various levels who are making some good money these days.

And HK charging 45-60 dollars for their mags - I bought a case of cheapy USA mags a long time ago - I use those at the range and they function fine, never have an issue with them - But would not use it if my life depends on it -

Hello,

Woke up this morning and had the worst headache. Could not sleep all night. Hurt. I thought these stopped when you quit drinking.

What is your drink of choice?  Because I like the whiskey and coke, the caffeine withdrawl is tough.

If I did not smoke and drink coffee, I could be a Mormon.

My old office mate at my old job was, he drank coke. He was cheating.

I go to starbucks. When I buy it, I usually get the beans at Costco. There is not a better deal than that.
