Why would you toss good followers? I thought CA laws allow hi-caps as long as they are disassembled. Did someone just allude to some other obscure regulation in CA law of which I've not yet heard?

My guess is the followers may have been the old metal ones instead of the cool green plastic ones that are supposed to be much better.

I have not seen these. As long as they are the newer shape, should be good.
Usually you can get a 5 or 10 pack of the light green followers for under a dollar each.
Then again, that was a while ago.
