I may just stop in to Iron Sights, but my dad is super paranoid about the homebuilds.  He wants to go out to BLM land.  I can't be screwing around waiting forever.  Got to get the one duracoated pink before christmas.

I'll be at iron sights at 10am friday, right when they open up.
Gotta pickup my 22-45 and then go up to meet some friends at noon to shoot at WEGC.
It's a private club if you want to join us with the home-builds...

Maybe I should join you again.  I wonder how the traffic will be at that time though?

International laws have pretty much outlawed it - Plus it's a capital offense in a lot of countries if you'd try to overthrow a gov. - You should just practice riding that horse of your's so you can be a telenovela estrella -

Telenovelas are actually popular in places you would not think they would be such as Israel.

Do you guys like Scooby Doo?

Not really but I'd feed her Scooby snacks.  WTF is a Scooby snack exactly?

Back in the days - That would of been fun - Now, the laws are much different - Used to be, you put an ad in the back of Soldier of fortune and round up a bunch of guys to go overthrow a goverment -

also we talk alot online. LIke chat and i told him about my guns and what not , and he says that sounds fun but be safe. and i told him once. Ive SHTF over in Kenya and the militia/rebels are getting out of hand or starts doing stupid stuff, that i will be a Mercinary / Boddy guard LOL I will take my small arsenal and kick some arse over in Kenya

who wants to become a mercynary with me ???? i will pay you in horses

But theres nothing Illegal right ? Like are there still modern day mecynaries ? Like military people pack up their arsenals go to Africa or some asian country somewhere . rondevou make a plan and try to (Im stupid)isanate/capture captive people ?

Well that sucks. Im sure people still do it if some rebels capture some body and the gov dosent wanna get involved in it. Kinda like blackwater in IRAQ ? maybe

I've read that some ball are not safe for Garands - If that's the case - I'll just save them for the 1903 - Thanks -

The 1903 ammo had a heavier bullet and correspondingly slower powder.
When they changed it to 30-06 (1906 ammo), the bullet got lighter.
The garand is fine with the light ammo, but there was a LOT of that heavy ammo out there on 1903 clips too.

Can yoiu explain further?  I also thought there was some issue with some types of commercial ammo in Garands?

Garands were designed only to run on 147/150gr ball ammo.
Heavier bullets make the port pressure too high and that can damage the op-rod.
There are adjustable bleed-off gas plugs to fix this problem.

I've been trying to get a Boston Market scheduled for service Sunday morning...  Nobody at the store speaks English.  The girls said the manager would call me back, that was an hour ago.

I've been drinking, and don't want to answer the phone now...

How do they take customer orders then?  I have seen this disturbing trend when fast food joints put workers who think they can speak English on the drive thru or order taking positions.

Does using other types of ammo but FMJ cause a problem ever?

I see Mexican police with folding stock FALs sometimes.  What kind of FAL would you like, Israeli?

I would LOVE to have them all , i perfer the ones with military backround

The para is beautiful , I hear it has way more recoil because they change the mechanis of the buffer spring , since it dosent have a stock , it somewhere in the receiver so it is less accurate and is more of a carbine , house clearing rifle. than a TRUE battle rifle

I would love an L1A1, with a SUIT scope. but the new ones i think TRILUX? they have a red dot instead of a magnified vision , looks JUST like the old school SUIT's but with a red dot

The IZZY fal is just beautiful

and the Australian is very gorgouse also , Idk il be happy with what ever falls on my lap or what ever deal i stumble upon

That's what I've read, the bullet weight - I'll save them for a 1903 ( when I get one )

Match hollowpoints work if the gas system is adjusted for them.
Roundnose may have feeding problems, but I have not tried them so I don't know that to be true.
I just shoot 147gr ball ammo and call it good.

J&R in Livermore is my new favorite gun shop

Did you get a shotty there?

:p no I was drosing a 30-30
they mentioned there policy is not to increase there margins at all
the only price increases they will have are going to be if there distributors raise there prices
they had a gsg on the wall for 499

I could use another shotty though

No gouging by the selling FFL ??? :o  WOW!   Wish more .net vendors could be that way.
