Flavors of Saigas are .223/7.62x39 and .308 - I don't have any and they are on my long list to get -

Would you wan to convert it over to pistol grip?

If I keep it the normal stock I could keep the mags detachable right?

Yes on that - They've steadily risen in prices too - We should hurry.

I still like to get a Saiga12 first -

We have 2-Saigas in 7.62. The stocks are cheap but livable. I enjoy it very much. My intent when getting it was to convert it. Did all the research and everything on what was involved. After shooting it I decided not to. They are fine the way they are. In a .308 however, I could imagin the stock might make your shoulder a little soar.

Yes indeed. There is a sight here with some stuff. I do not know if the "hunting stock" they have is any different than the stock, stock.

It is not hard. Just didn't see any reason to do it.

Did you see my link last night of the Saiga converted? Look sick -

Guess people just like it to the original AK pattern - Thus the conversion.

Where is that link?

BTW, Hopis thread should not be too hard, just google the number and select images.

I like SKS's and Saiga's but I vote for an SKS first......dunno why other than it seems cooler to me and more choices on aftermarket stock colors......thats right, it all comes down to how good my gun looks for me :)

It's one month, from both.
The next time is permanent.
Threats are taken seriously here.

Before I post the quote I will say I have calmed down and will not be imposing all of this.
This is part of the email sent to him I'm posting it to give an idea where my head is at with all of this and the 'spillage' in to other threads and even back to .net.
Like I said, I'm not implementing this because it's not fair to punish all for the actions of one.
Quote
I'm done with the mess, the extra hassle the wasted time moderating and the childish behavior.
This episode has shown that the whole 'TaN' concept engenders nothing but problems and hassles.
It will never return to .net and will be shut down on .org.
If necessary .org will be closed and reopened only when .net is down.

Tankerman was involved, he got time out too.
Of course Marcelo started it and was the one throwing around grade school threats so he got longer.

Oh, I missed that one. I guess that thread over there got a little carried away. I will have to go look later. That is too bad. There was definate baiting going on. I did not know how to even respond to any of that so I didn't. Just ignore and move on. Not worth the ridculousness of the whole concept anyway.

I don't think that should be a reflection of what is happening here though. That was a seperate incident. I do not understand why some people are still irritated about a TaN even when it is out of the .net. Half the threads started are TaN's. There is a definite bad  aroma about that and it is disturbing. No one made personal attacks on any cal gun member in a TaN that I know of.

Here's the link again - http://gallery.me.com/kjoneill#100008&bgcolor=black&view=grid

Oh yeah, I saw that. Yeah, I was wondering how bad that would mess your wrist up shooting a 12 ga with a pistol grip.

I think a Saiga 12 ga, with the mag and all would be perfect for the Bullpup platform. I would have to buy one though to figure out how to do it. I couls work on this. My son could machine the whole platform from Aluminum and make it a real quality item. WOuld be expensive though.

My Sunday / whole weekend has been focused on mechanical things. After yesterday's successful efforts, I then tried to get my dual-sport motorcycle going this morning. I rode it about a month ago, all good, now very hard to start.
Fuel valve on the gas tank has a diaphram in it that hardened and cracked, leaking gas straight iinto the engine, by-passing the carburetor.
Got it figured out but need new parts to fix.

Cleaned out the refrigerator.
Took the dog for a hike in the mountains this AM
Had my son (learning to drive) drive me around the neighborhood in the car for an hour (last night too).

Life in the 'burbs...

Sportsters are known as "Chick's" bikes by the HD faithful.

There are many years and models, pluses and minuses to each out there.
I have worked on a few Harley's, can do, but I never really push for this biz when I work on stuff for others.

The bike belongs to a "biker" that my friend got due to some money owe - Bike is not original, been worked on massaged and upgraded. It's just a dream of mine, since I am small frame also.
