I don't think the data is at risk. This kind of database errors typically result from timeout or out of resources.

The DB is safe, we've got a lot pulling on the DB server right now so it's being bogged down.
Should be better shortly.

long term, it should be.  However, they are still tweaking the hardware for the new servers.  Plus, bringing THR.us online and the database work it needs is combining to bog down the system.

Let me know if you need any technical help. I do this kind of thing for my day job.

The new High Road site is just as bad, if not worse. It really is horrible.

Our server is now serving both Calguns and THR?

CGN is definitely slow today and tonight.
We are having an unusual load on the database server right now.

Recent events have caused some things to move faster then anticipated so the new DB server isn't quite on line yet and an added load that was expected to be picked up by separate servers is now being handled by our current DB server.
As the new DB servers come on line things will speed up.
This was an expected side effect of having the time lines moved up and one I accept as necessary to help out a friend.
Every effort is being made to keep this problem as short term as possible and believe me I want to see us load like greased lightning myself.
If we can only get them to CATCH the squirrels not shoot the squirrels....

I'm being a bit intentionally vague on some of this as I don't know for sure how much is public knowledge and how much isn't but most will figure it out.

I really appreciate your patience and understanding in this.

I had never heard of the high road prior to the server outages and discussion about it's problems over at .net.  Thanks for pointing me to a new forum!  I found I could load THR much more reliably than CGN.  As of about fifteen minutes ago, I can't resolve CGN at all.  I look forward to these issues being resolved.  If there's anything we can do to help Kestryll, please let us know.

Hmmm... calguns.net dropped off DNS

--> official name servers for calguns.net domain
% dig ns calguns.net @f.gtld-servers.net +short
ns1.dreamns.net.
ns2.dreamns.net.

--> the 2 official servers don't have records for calguns.net
% dig calguns.net @ns1.dreamns.net +short
% dig calguns.net @ns2.dreamns.net +short

Yeah...the only way I can get on is via IP. Which means DNS is AFU.

I haven't been able to get on since late last night.  In the middle of backpaging, I lost the site.  When I tried to log back in, I got a roadrunner page saying Calguns couldn't be found. :(   Same thing happened just a minute ago.
