Wipe everything down with a piece of cloth moistened with lube, wipe with a dry cloth, put it all back together. Too much carbon then soak it and use a brush to knock the carbon off.

So wipe every single part with a moist towel with oil. then wipe it dry. So when i assemble it its gonna be dry ?

what do you mean " too much carbon then soak it and use a brush to knock the carbon off "

You wont get everything dry, the lube will lightly coat everything.

If theres alot of carbon buildup, more than what will just wipe off, then use alot of lube to soak the carbon and use a stiff brush (brass) to knock the carbon off.

I also read something to lube the "rings" of the bolt and the rails or gils onthe out of side of the bolt carrier?

I use CLP or MILTECH on my guns for GP cleaning and lubing. More intense cleaners for the deep cleaning.
