I do believe that is where they are heading.
Still have to consider the AWB as far as BBs for now, pistol or rifle or other.
Reading carefully, if you buy a pistol grip shotgun, you could shorten it etc without violating any laws?

We could have a super short SBR shotgun if we buy just the receiver like a bare receiver, then build it as a pistol???
Ummm...this one is gray area without what they are doing.
Since it is not a handgun, and not a shotgun / rifle / long gun because it has never had a butt stock attached, then it is just a "weapon."
Therefore, if I read it right, it is not a SBR (not rifled) or SBS even if the barrel is shorter / shortened to less than 18".
Don't go cuting anything up yet, or run out to buy a pistol-grip-only model.
I am sure there will be more on this topic.
Certainly worth a few questions and maybe a new dedicated thread to get "official" opinions.
