Still have to consider the AWB as far as BBs for now, pistol or rifle or other.
Reading carefully, if you buy a pistol grip shotgun, you could shorten it etc without violating any laws?

We could have a super short SBR shotgun if we buy just the receiver like a bare receiver, then build it as a pistol???

Ummm...this one is gray area without what they are doing.
Since it is not a handgun, and not a shotgun / rifle / long gun because it has never had a butt stock attached, then it is just a "weapon."
Therefore, if I read it right, it is not a SBR (not rifled) or SBS even if the barrel is shorter / shortened to less than 18".
Don't go cuting anything up yet, or run out to buy a pistol-grip-only model.
I am sure there will be more on this topic.
Certainly worth a few questions and maybe a new dedicated thread to get "official" opinions.

Listed Gun...for now.
I could see where the AWB might go down due to Heller, but CA may hang on to the "Safe Handgun" concept.
However, with only the Ruger (wtf is it, brain fart) SR9(?) being approved in all of 2008, the Safe List may get challenged anyway.
I almost wonder if they approved the SR9 so no one could say the newest regulations for 2008 completely stopped supply of all semi-autos.

Visited with a sick MC yesterday, hope I don't get sick now. We hit up the Norwalk Turner's. I got a really good deal from the coot comander (hunting buddy Jesse that works there) there on a much needed decoy bag. Turner's has a sale going on for Ruger 10/22's for $209. I may have to pick one up since I don't have one yet.

If you are in the market for an Isearli FN mauser that shoot's 7.62 NATO, Ammo Bros. has one for $249. I would have bought it in a heart beat if it was in a little better shape. The barrel had more wear & tear than I like. I will buy beat up guns as long as the barrel is in nice shape.
