What's a better/best way to organize rifles with grips and scopes because I'm having a tough time getting things to fit.

Best way to do it is ...
BUY ANOTHER SAFE

Store some buttstock down, store others barrel down. Fit them in there like a jigsaw puzzle.
-
Other/bigger safe, jigsaw puzzle/barrel down rifles as well, I even screwed hooks into the bottom of a top shelf to hang some rifles with short bungees to fully tetris unused space in the upper middle section. 8)
I also use riffle socks and fashioned muzzle bumpers with packing wrap and DT, JIC.

One of the nicest things I saw about the Browning safes was the door is cut out for scopes. Would probably still be a pain with pistol grips pointing in though.
-
Has anyone made custom racks for the side to help?
-
Rifle rods.

I'll look into those.

I have lots of bore store gun socks. The real problem is not having a big enough safe!

FAILING this, you can stack them muzzle up/muzzle down, to make them fit better. That's what I've done.

Take out all rifle rests (it wastes space)... use rifle rods (look it up)... put back row grip forward and front row grip away (between each back row rifle)...
I have ___ long guns in one safe and ___ or so in another (smaller)... with room to put shotgun in each (they stay out of safe when I'm home) ... decided to omit the numbers (but it's more than plenty)
Don't use any organizer that came with safe... you should have one big open space... or two open spaces with one vertical divider (if you have a wide safe) ... I have one of each.
-
bigger safe and create your custom racks.
-
Racks waste space... you can fit way more guns without any kind of rack, by using rifle rods instead.
-
that's a pretty good solution for a tightly packed safe. nice!
-
Racks hung on an angle, muzzle up. Use pencils in the bore or props under the buttstocks.
