On .org, he's got two in one thread and a third post in another thread which are truncated, including the post immediately before that one.

It looks like what I run into all the time.  If you have a character which doesn't jibe well with this site, the site truncates your post from immediately preceding that letter.  You have to go back and replace that letter.

A prime example is an apostrophe which is slanted, either from a quote you're trying to paste or from, I assume, a smart phone you're using to make the post.  The System doesn't 'recognize' or 'accept' that apostrophe and, therefore, cuts off the post at that point.

I'm not declaring that's what it is, but seems the most likely explanation given that his last three posts have been truncated.  If that is the case, however, it becomes the user's responsibility and not necessarily a 'fault' with the System.  Short version: Adapt to the System because the System isn't going to adapt to you.

That makes the most sense.  I've seen a few posts that were 1 word and that was it. If that was what he was referring to then its just another "f*** this place!" frustration.

I just ran into the slanted apostrophe with my post in Politics and Legal.

I get the frustration as it's a pain to find your post truncated and have to go back and fix it.  But, I don't necessarily blame the site.  It is what it is and, as I said, you adapt to it and you don't expect it to adapt to you.  Remember, .org isn't the latest and greatest software.

Insofar as .net... Yeah.  It's supposed to be up-to-date techno wizardry.  While I get what is likely the problem in terms of making the old play nice with the new, I'm still a bit askance in terms of not even being able to establish a connection.  Such is particularly true given that the site was working fairly well for several hours on Thursday or Friday, then.. pfft... no connection possible.

It was a nice run, nearly 24 Hours so far as I can tell, but .NET seems to be 'down' again.

Sigh. Yesterday I was feeling serene, things were calm and back to normal. This morning switched on with confidence and WHAM! "Unable to connect".  I was too complacent and again face disappointment.

CGN is like that planet in Star Trek where it phases back to normal space for 20 minutes every 2 centuries.  Better catch it while you can.

I'm starting to see a pattern.  When a certain user from another forum is on, everything works and it's fast.  Huh, go figure.

He sure has a lot of time to wait for CG to be running, I guess he has nothing better to do, or somehow he knows exactly when it's up/running?

Yep, down again to 504s for me too. I noticed it was a little shaky at times this past few days so I kind of expected this. Hope someday it gets back to rock solid.

Yeah, Sigfan91, I had trouble with 504's 10 minutes after I first signed this AM at 0300 hrs, and sort of hit and miss since then.  I just tried and the ole familiar 504 has returned.  Even if you can get on you cannot open anything.
