ACfixer, you do realize that that is "Night Moves" by Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band, not Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, right?

I smite thee! for disrespecting the Lordship of this thread.

Thanks Apples.  In the upside down, I wasn't sure being 2+/1- was a good thing.  Though in truth, I meant no disrespect, more recognition for the solid quotations.  Love me some Bob Seger.  I can listen to that greatest hits on repeat dozens of times, easy.

Night Moves to Main Street, nice.

Ugh, How Many More Days

Deep cut!

Am I bad if I think TP's later albums were his best?

No, I rather enjoy his attitude in The Last DJ, and then his blue grassy stuff later on. But he still put out some great rock tunes, too, they just weren’t the 3 minute catchy jingles you hear on the radio so they never gained the popularity I think they deserve.

His Mudcrutch stuff kicks azz, too, and I actually prefer a few of their recordings over the Heartbreakers versions. Don’t Do Me Like That, for example, Mudcrutch version is better, imo.

Along with Mainstreet and Like A Rock? That wasn't Tom Petty? :p

My pleasure. And "disrespect" was too strong a word but naturally we be poking fun and the entire scenario.

You deserve another smite! lol

I just tried to quote Her Royalnesses The Duchess of Widdlestone, but when said post was sent to appear my text within it had vanished.

I scratch my scalp.

Sir Apples of the City of Angels, it would appear the apostrophe issue is replaced by a problem of posts being cut off. Ironically, it would appear the chopped off bit precedes an apostrophe. A sentence that started out “I don’t know…” turned into “I don…”

All this Petty and Seger and smiting makes me think of summer camp.  I just put on the Mudcrutch version of "Don't Do Me Like", thank you Widdle for the inspiration (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vuEdZVX4B-8).  Man that is rich!

I brought Seger into the mix because they both remind me of the same people and years.

I guess we should also mention The Joker. Abacadabra, there he be.

I saw it. :p But I knew it was the glitch. I knew you didn’t just quote half my post and walk away.

I've deleted a half dozen posts because of the cut-off issue.

.org is a dumbed down version and still can't function correctly.

It's probably from all the bouncing boobies... I think it's like fentanyl for websites.

Good stuff, huh? Here is another Mudcrutch gem:

Poor audio, but not sure what can be done about that.

I have been to that star! Saw Trump, too, but TP was the main reason for going to Hollywood.
