Meh. In the ocean and far north.
I ran out of the house into the street during the Landers 92 quake. Could hear the heavy clay tiles shaking. I was in Corona Norco.
Only time scared in a CA quake.

June 28, 1992 - a magnitude 7.6 earthquake near Landers and a magnitude 6.7 aftershock near Big Bear Lake.

My friends were camping near Big Bear during the quake.  They were scared shitless.  One guy had a mobile phone (briefcase size) with him and he was able to call home.  They said they heard large boulders rolling down the side of the mountain.

I thought the fight is over.  Trump will end democracy in this country.  There will be no more elections.  I was told by all the major news networks and all the leading democrat politicians.  Have they been lying to me?  Surely they would not deceive me now, would they?

I was hoping Trump could do that.  You know, just to mess with the lefttards.

No wonder MSNBC is going under.  How the hell does anyone pay her $25 million a year to work once a week?  Assuming she does 50 shows a year, that is still half a mil a week.  Vast majority of Americans are no where close to that.  How interesting that leftist socialist people obsessed about income inequality are totally fine with their own shill making an obscene amount of money to tell them the evils of capitalism.

Am I missing something?  Is there a link?

He summarized the essence of the article for us, he is like AI but better. No need for the article anymore!

Sorry, it was not an article.  It was just a line at the beginning of a Bee video on YouTube.  I will see if I can find it again.

Here it is

https://youtu.be/N1e_C5Szfss?si=1tK-bQ98jufIzZVX

At the beginning, starts at around 0:15 to about 0:32.  The guy asked what they should go differently for the next election.  One guy asked what he meant by next time.  They all agreed that this would be the last election in the US if Trump were elected.  How could there be a next time if Trump would end democracy?

Why are the democrats thinking about the next election cycle?  Didn't they say Trump would end democracy?

CGN is like that planet in Star Trek where it phases back to normal space for 20 minutes every 2 centuries.  Better catch it while you can.

They consider themselves "the resistance". They believe it's totally necessary.

More dangerous than most think.

I watched the other one you posted about the curve in nature.  That was too dry for me.  Then the video following it (selected by YouTube algorithm) was more interesting to me.  It was by the same guy, but investigating why Amelia Earhart went missing.

The video went into details about her radio equipment and how misuse and/or malfunction could have contributed to her losing her way over the Pacific Ocean.  There were extensive information on how she transmitted or attempted to transmit information but was never received.  My question is how do we know what she transmitted if this transmission was never received by the outside world and we never found her plane?

Mars and the moon have much less gravity than the earth.  The orbital velocity required is much lower.  As such, the gravitational acceleration should be much lower as well.  In that case, there is less speed to burn off before landing.

Hmm... but it will still have to reach earth's escape velocity to get out of orbit, so it would have to use rockets to slow down no matter what. I guess it will just carry enough fuel for that. Why don't they just explode some nukes and use it as thrust https://www.nasa.gov/space-technology-mission-directorate/tdm/space-nuclear-propulsion/

Nuclear explosion tend to scatter unexpended nuclear fuel all over the place.  Nuclear explosion would be the cleanest form of energy if every single bit of fuel were consumed/expended in the reaction.

Yes, starship needs to carry fuel to slow down, enter Martian orbit, and eventually land on Mars.  All of our probes carry fuel to slow down if they were designed to enter a planetary orbit.

Some observations:

1. Trump can only beat a woman in an election

2. Democrats are racist and sexist because their 81 million supporters for an old white man dropped to 67 million supporters for a colored woman.

5AM EST and all major news outlets aside from Newsmax, and FOX News refuse to file Trump the victory.  They have him stalled at 266.  ::) >:(

They were holding out hope that the 3am spikes would show up. But this time it was TOO BIG TO RIG! There's no denying it now...Trump's style, his brashness, his "FIGHT", and his love for this country won this election in the most crystal clear and powerful way in 40 years. Probably the biggest comeback in history period!

Suck it fake news!

I just looked up the vote numbers from last election and from 2016.

Trump got around 63 million votes in 2016; 74 million votes in 2020; 72 million votes in 2024.

Hillary got 66 million votes in 2016; Biden got 81 million votes in 2020; Harris got 67 million votes in 2024.

This was not too big to rig.

Still, I am simply amazed that 14 million democrat voters simply did not show up to vote for Harris.  Fancy that.

Off Topic Discussion / Trump TV ads in CA?
« on: October 29, 2024, 09:50:51 PM »
Wow, I saw Trump's ad in CA, on Fox, during the World Series.

I also saw Heels Up's ad in California, like all over the place, on cable TV, during the World Series, and on Pluto TV.

Why are they wasting money here?  CA is 75% democrat anyway.
