 a short while back - CGN Suggestion Section had a thread regarding lag at midnight... At the time I wasn't aware, but understood the various suggested reasons posted...

I'm here to testify - as of today, I've experienced the dreaded lag consistently at midnight enough times to warrant a withdrawal outlet...

We are here to encourage follow members to hold steady - our sense of normalcy will cycle shortly... In fact, so soon that this post is outdated by now.

But it's here for future support  ;)
