If I remember correctly, something about 8am tomorrow it should be back up... something about having to order replacement hardware and waiting for it to arrive.

Normally I'm all for nonsense and mayhem but this thread is out of hand. Having to siphon through all this to try to find any info is just ridiculous.

There is a bright side to this outage, 2 actually,

1) the Chinese and Russian spammers may move on thinking the site is gone permanently.

2) all the money we have saved by not buying stuff at the "sales"


-1) I am sure we bankrupt a company or 2 that was expecting our buying power to balance their end of year books

Restore backup from tape? Vas is dis "tape" you speak of? Tape?

I checked this out, apparently, some sort of "tape" was used in ancient times...the '80's where a kind of magnetized tape was used for information storage. Quite heathan by today's standards. Tape? Really?
