Ruger m77 questions
« on: August 29, 2024, 07:27:13 AM »
Just bought a Ruger m77 in 22-250 and had a few questions

I heard that in the day Ruger was buying barrels from a bunch of different people. Is there a way to tell who made the barrel?

Is the there away to tell if the trigger adjustment mod has been done other than if the factory did it with the marked t?

Is rebarreling them as hard as some people have said it is?

Thanks.

A lot of the barrels were built by bulk barrel makers like Shaw but there's no way to tell.   I don't know about the trigger, if I don't like a trigger, I just replace them with an aftermarket one.  Re-barreling the M77 Ruger is no more difficult than other brands and is sometimes easier because of the flat bottoms on the receiver giving better leverage than the round bottom receivers.
