Cap and ball revolvers are nice. I don't any at the moment, but if the right one came along I'd buy it.

Its about run time and output together. First surefire I saw used was at swat in 93-94 on mp5s. 60 lumens was enough to light up a cellar looking for perps. 200 is more than enough.

Set phantom in stock and have rods from the handle to a lever? Would make it just like a lever action in the sense of having to close it to fire it. Like joints on the lever side though

Thanks TS, this one makes 6 M1as total now.

SA Socom
SA Bush
Polytech standard
3 SA NM loaded

I just picked up another 1K of 147 grain British milsurp from the 70s yesrterday as well. Dont know why I did that as Ive got more milsurp than Ill ever consume already, must be the OCD kicking in again.

I only shoot two of them. The Polytech standard  with irons is the range gun out to 400-500 along with one of the NM loaded with a Pride/Fowler 10x ranging scope seen here for precision work out to 800 yds though I only shoot to 600 yds with both presently. This scope is boring to use on known distances once dialed in at 100 yds.

I keep a 1000 yd rangfinder in the hard case with the scoped NM loaded and once the target is ranged, the scope makes you look good

I have a collection of military relics from 1918 to 1945 and have not refinshed any because it would hurt the resale value . That is what I have been told by my gun show friend and fellow collectors .
