I like the color, looks tigerish in some spots. Whats up with the rubber pad ?

I have redone a lot of stocks.  One little trick I use is super glue in the crack.  Make sure you wipe the stock off if it gets on the finish.  I usually use the glue after I strip the stock, if I drip any glue around the crack, I wait for a day and sand the drip off, stain wont go through the super glue.
