I've been downt the tunnels at Cu Chi - It's only about 30 miles outside Saigon - It's a tourist trap now - Amazing how they built the thing. It's been "cleaned up" for tourists. The original was not fancy and not high at all.

Tunnels had to be widened for Westerners.  Can't you rent an AK there too now?

My dad explored a couple of tunnels in Vietnam war.

A bit more info regarding the gentleman in the pic -

Taken in 1970 in the central highlands - Pleiku/Komtum area - He was assigned with special ops working with Montagnards - He was a sniper -
