Well I'm not happy. I have yet to receive an update since last Friday from vB Support.
I fully suspect that we're done or near completion but have not heard about the DNS settings I need for the new cloud host.

I also have a problem of my own making, I completely forgot about some essential email addresses using the @calguns.net domain that have to exist however vB Cloud does not offer domain email hosting, just the forum software. So now I'm scrambling to figure out how to use the domain to both host the site and host email separately. Without having to pay for yet another server.

This is totally on me, I've never had a hosting account that did not include domain hosting but I should have verified first.

Too bad you can't drop VB all together.

At this point, with their history of stringing you along, their lack of communication and failure to move numorous times when they've said they would, it almost makes me think they're a bunch of anti-gun nannies over there who don't care if the site comes back or not.

Who knows.
One thing is for sure, VB's customer service sounds like total garbage.

During my gainful employment portion of my life, we were involved in at least two attempts to institute a new "off the shelf" LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) in our environmental analytical testing laboratory. This is an all encompassing computer tracking program that follows every single sample that enters our possession....as well as every specific testing method with all associated QC/QA metrics, to ultimately provide a report to the client.

Ours was proprietary, custom built thru the years over a base system with an in-house programming group.

Everything we could think of went into pre-planning and development. Once we started beta testing.......everything we could think of was maybe 80% of what was needed. I'll reach out to the programmer guy and see if he has any insights, these guys know **** to make us humble, lol.

EDIT: Ha, another website I frequent is undergoing same fleas, different dog.

There are several options available depending on quantity per day / month. I used Sendgrid at my last organization and it was free with 100 / day

We all appreciate knowing what's going on.
I think we all knew there would be some bumps in the road but that we will get there eventually and hopefully as good as it was or better.

We're all on the same team so just keep letting us know what's going on and if we can help.

You can point the DNS for the email servers somewhere else and setup mailboxes on that alternative service.
