Free ammo
« on: November 19, 2008, 09:30:08 AM »
So I got a call from a customer last night.
He's an LAPD guy that has me do work every few months.
He says he's bringing me 500 rounds of 223 ammo just because he likes my work.

Gotta love free ammo...  ;D

No problem.
You can have as much as you want for free.
Shipping will be 5 cents a round.
Administration will be 30 cents a round.
Robin Hood tax will be 12 cents a round.

How much would you like?

This sounds fishy. Where did he get this, "Free" ammo? Is it a bribe? Are you extorting this? Was it Blackwaterops confiscated ammo? I want proof. This thread is worthless without proof. ;D

I've had the good luck to receive fre ammo now and then... i run the website and run the USPSA classifiers for our range. Someone asked that I look into something thinking that I goofed. I double checked and it was what it was.. and as a "Oops I goofed" he gave me 5 boxes of 40 cal WWB..  ???  Needless to say I was a bit taken aback... but there was no way he was taking "you didn't have to do that" for an answer.. Pretty neat :)

no such thing as a free lunch. Did he accidentally touch your hand when he handed you the ammo? :D

He has not been over to drop off the ammo yet.

Maybe he used it all up on the way, just trying to get there.

I bet it is just "stuff" from the LAPD Evidence room that is up for "destruction". Since ammo doesn't have serial numbers take it and run!

So, I guess that means .47 (cents) a round, correct-and that includes shipping?
100 rounds = $47.00.  I just bought 200 rounds of Remington for the same price.
