I got a couple of big mortor cans for 8 bucks each and a night vision case that will make a great handgun case

I want to visit those "special" places I hear they have outside of Reno and in rural areas...
This guy had thousands of ammo cans a bunch of generators and military containers in all shapes and sizes

Remember the GPS coords, you may need to head back there one day...
This was actually downtown beatty lol

who's idea was it to go there???  and had to say "I want to go there now vs later"  Who KNEW you would LOVE IT and prolly find some good deals?

Does this mean that your trip is canceled -

Perhaps they had an "arrangement" with your parents - Without including you in the loop -

well yea except they kept saying if they (my parents) called to not tell them they are here, just hand them the phone so they can be surprised.
Plus why give us 20 ish hours notice?

Like Chris or my step bro's GF would be over if we knew they would show up.....If they wanted to catch us they wouldn't give us notice.

No we are still going.  I took time off so we could go......we are going.  They showed up little notice, they get what they deserve.  Plus both my step bro and I are crazy busy

SO, wenesday my parents left for vacation for 10 days.....SWEET!  BF can come over, I don't have to worry about wanting to watch a movie loud at night, drink however much I want....put some cold beer in the fridge and bottle of wine.  Going on vacation for 4 days to meet up with the folks, leaving sunday so I get 5 days plus 3 when we come back that they aren't around and my step bro is leaving Friday night....all is good!!!!

1100 last night....SURPRISE!  My step grandparents are comming down for a surprise visit to see my step aunt in the hospital cause she has a leg infection.  No BF, all the alcohol (except a few beers hidden away in the back) out of the fridge, had to clean my bathroom last night, there is NO food in the house!  I'm broke and can't afford food, and I am getting over being sick.  PERFECT TIMING!

Aparently they didn't even tell my parents they were showing up, just E-mailed my step brother just in case their key didn't work with our new locks.  First words out of my step grandmothers were:  Hello! Is our guest room ready?    -they apparently didn't seem bothered at all just showing up last minute and only telling my step bro.

I love em, but wow!  Seems really unclassy to just show up like that without telling anyone.  Or is that just me?

LOL.....Mine's only funny cause its a county protocol to respond within 10 minutes of a call to 911......I was making light of your situation.

I actually show up to hospitals for Pt's and give times at least 10-15 minutes away....usually 20 tho.

LOL! Didn't quite know what you did. :)

I was hoping someone would chime in.....I'm an EMT in Paramedic school and broke cause of it.....haven't got a new gun since July and that was an OLL and a gift from my BF....I'm hoping he buys me an upper soon.

I got a big wish list once I'm out of school and a working medic.
Want a new gun?!  SURE!  Work 2 days over time.....DONE!  -it might be a problem at some point

yeah, there are like 4-girls here at work that are all over me. But I don't want anything to do with them because I have to work with them. I was told a long time ago, never fish in the company pool. There is one though, if I ever decided to get serious with anyone, I would go out with her.

This is generally a good rule.  Also, don't pursue women working at places you would like to continue to eat at, trust me on this.

yea.....no fishing off the company dock!  Bad idea!!  I had a guy who ended up not calling me after a great date and hooking up with another girl at our work.....really awkward around the 2 of them after that.

The old walking to dog to meet women routine.

[If i was single , brownie will work like a charm, hes still a puppy and cute

I have heard of this, can I borrow the Cocker Spaniel? ;D

I also hear you can pick up chicks at the supermarket or a laundromat, lol

we walked buck when he was a few months old at the grand cannyon.....so many people stopped us to pet him that we ignored them towards the end.  If a cute girl came up, I pet the dog while holding Chris's hand to make sure shew KNEW they were mine!

It really is true!

idk....something about a cork in a wine bottle seems nessicery to me.  I have never had a screw on top, but I don't think I would like it.  I have a hard enough time drinking wine before it starts to go bad cause I only drink it at night when I stay up late and remember its in the fridge.  If it could go on its side....forget it!  I'd have prolly 50 bucks worth of wine in my fridge gone bad.....but the screw it tops doesn't apeal to me.  Just like synthetic corks don't really do it for me either....I don't want to know my bottle of wine was subject to corner cutting.
Have you seen the Vac-U-Vin?
http://www.vacuvinonline.com/wine/
I love them. Lets me drink one glass tonight, and the rest keeps for a while.

NICE!  THATS COOL!

Lame, my first client canceled on me last minute, so now I have a whole two hours to kill!
Think I will go make a red velvet cake.

At least you had notice, make her leave you a big tip next time!  My sister makes red velvet cakes.
I didn't get notice until she was already twenty minutes late.
And then my third client didn't even call, we had to call her.
Oh well. Not b*tching, just a little exasperated. But hey, it gave me more time to go on CG.org!  :D
Red velvet cakes are awesome. Weird to make, what with the cocoa and the vinegar and all. But delish.

My favorite vino has a screw off cap.  And paisa??? ???  CS, have you been calling me at weird times?  I am getting 626 calls from some random number that does no leave a voice mail.

Actually a lot of smaller boutique wineries are starting to go with a screw off top, better use of resources. One of the wine clubs that I belong to have their signature Sauvignon Blanc in both cork and screw-top, drinkers choice.
Oh and much less chance of the wine becoming corked with a screw top.

I think it's because of a lack or scarcity of cork material also.  I used to live in an area of Italy known for cork production and crafts.

dought it.  Cork is grown off tree's.....its a HUGE industry......There doesn't seem to be any shortage of it here.  They get it by the thousands at Chris's work.  He has never said anything about it being expensive.....barrels and glass tho are a different story.  Not cause they are short, just expensive.  Wine glass doesn't have a CA recycle thing like normal glass

Oh that would be gorgeous!

yea, but I don't want it to be like the magazine red, the rails red and stuff, sorta like you see tons of olive drab or brown ones....but I don't want a tiger stripped one either cause its way too call of duty 4.....I want a nice blend or something.  I like the concept of the hello kitty ones, but I hate pink and it seems like it needs to be a pink gun for that to work.  Maybe some red, grey, and black camo patterns??? IDK.....I'm pretty much just fantasizing about it right now.....gotta build the original, then scoped, then red dot one.....THEN I will paint one

Like this:

But these colors:

?

I'm really diggin that!  Thing is....I'll want it dura coated....so that will be $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

I've had better days.  I had what I thought to be my final OR shift, but I'll prolly want/need another one cause I missed the tube.  it didn't help much that I couldn't understand the doc cause of her thick broken english accent and she just kept saying the same thing over and over and didn't figure out to the end it was my first ET tube and I was hella nervous....DUH!  and the whole "I don't see why you have problem, it easy" didn't help.   >:(

oo yea, also I found out today a 14 year old girl battling cancer over the last year, from my parents church, I knew the mom decently well to sit down and have lunch with her.....she died today.  It hit me harder than I thought.  My parents are talking about delaying vacation by a day to go to the funeral.

So not a good day for me.  Sorry I didn't have better news

I'll make you top ramen on my camp stove if it makes you feel better.

heh, that made me smile.  Thanks but no thanks.  I'm not really hungry right now.  Its been an exhausting day both mentally, physiclly and emotionally.  So I think Ill just go to bed

I need a stove.
I have been cooking on my camp stove in my kitchen lately.

Does Marauchen Ramen ever go bad?
The stuff I'm eating right now is from 2005 or so...

thats really dangerous.  you should at least cook outside.  Or really ventilate the whole area really well.

Umm and I am sure it goes bad eventually....prolly the flavor before the rest......but eventually everything goes bad.
