She went to an ASR shoot that Randall attended I believe, I did not make it for various reasons.

I was going to meet that punk at ASR today but it just didn't happen.  Far, winds, Marcelo had to work, I was afraid of the yellow jackets at ASR , ect.

Flake.

There was almost NO wind.
At times, we had gusts to 3 mph, but it was mostly still.
No yellow jackets to be seen either.
You missed a perfect morning at the range.

You went there and paid admission to shoot 4 boxes of .22lr?  How many/what kind of guns did you bring? 

I was going to bring a pile of .22lr rifles.

Thursday is half-price day, only $6 after returning the target frame.
I brought my 22 sniper match gun and a 5.45x39 AR to test fire.
Fired 5 or 6 rounds through the 5.45 to check function and 200 through the 10-22 to check zero, shoot groups and plink.
I was reliably hitting the 300yd steel today with the 22 because there was no wind.
I got a few rounds on at 400 too.

The 9x18 ultra is another weird one, .355 bullet with that one.  I'm pretty sure they would work in a Makarov because the .380acp will in a pinch.

I have an East german as well, $150 in 2000.  My TT33 luck has always been bad since I have only messed with Chinese.  Only have a box full of parts for them.  I like the 7.62x25 round a lot, a modern gun needs to be made for it. 

I'd love to have a Simson Suhl Makarov.

Not with muffs/plugs.
You can see when you miss and how close you are by watching the dirt.
When you hit, there's a little gray puff from the steel.
It's better when you have a spotter because my reticle was covering too much of the target to see the splashes.
There's enough time that you can fire and move the reticle to watch the shots land though.

True because even shooting steel with a .22lr at 100 yards, it takes a sec/1/2 sec to hear the sound.
